Discordian Community Riot!

Discordian Records is part of the Discordian Community, which is no more than a collective consisting of all musicians, technicians, writers, music activists, audiophiles, and promoters that have participated one way or another in this sector of Barcelona’s avant music scene.

Through informal cooperation the Discordian Community organizes itself to do concerts, recordings, etc.

On December 21st of 2012 (Setting Orange, The Aftermath 63, Year of Our Lady Discord 3178), at 21:00 hours, the first concert of the community was successfully held in Barcelona, to celebrate many things… among which was the end of the Mayan end of the world paranoia, Frank Zappa’s 62nd birthday, winter’s solstice, the anniversary of the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, among many other things…

The concert was organized by Arco y Flecha productions and announced as a “Discordian Community Riot!”

Discordian Community Orchestra

The concert was so successful that it helped establish the avant-garde jazz musical scene in Barcelona immediately as never before, and received attention from newspapers and music critics.

This paved the way for continuation of the Discordian Community Riot! as a festival to be held each 21st of december in Barcelona.
