Discordian Community Ensemble

The Discordian Community Ensemble, endeavouring to provoke collaboration, interdimensional exchange and the proliferation of bizarre new musics worldwide, is a mutable ensemble based on a pseudo-cooperative model that connects with local interpreters/improvisers for recitals and recordings, using scores that permit free and controlled improvisation.

Based in Barcelona, DCE’s modus operandi consists of composing for the performance and coordinating immediately beforehand a short rehearsal of the compositions, the scores and conducting techniques of which are designed to be swiftly assimilated by newcomer musicians.
